It is extremely important to take care of our dog’s wellbeing so that they can live many healthy, happy years with us. There are some vegetables that many dog guardians like to add in small amounts to their dog’s meals to support a healthy digestive system and help keep unwanted parasites away. You can add them fresh, either grated or finely chopped, and it is best to prefer vegetables of organic origin whenever possible.
Carrots – from ½ tablespoon up to 2 tablespoons per day
Beetroot – from ½ tablespoon up to 2 tablespoons per day
Turnip – from ½ tablespoon up to 2 tablespoons per day
A Simple Parsley Recipe for Your Dog
Parsley is often used in small amounts as a fresh herb that many people believe may support joint comfort and the urinary system in dogs. Below you will find an easy recipe that some guardians prepare for their companions.
- Boil 1 liter of water.
- Add one bunch of fresh parsley to the boiling water.
- Let it simmer for 3 minutes.
- Remove it from the heat and allow it to cool.
- Remove the parsley from the liquid.
- Place the liquid in a glass jar and store it in the refrigerator.
Suggested serving: 1 tablespoon of parsley water for every 4.5 kg (10 lbs) of body weight, once a day, for up to 10 days.
