Experience the Wonders of Reiki in Your Life
Reiki is a traditional Japanese energy practice based on the channeling of universal life energy. Many people who use it report benefits such as a greater sense of wellbeing, relaxation, mental calm, optimism, the growth of positive feelings and compassion, and a sense of inner development.
Reiki Energy Practice
Reiki is often described as a holistic approach because it is said to support both the body and the mind.
Reiki is a gentle energy technique that uses the laying on of hands to channel this energy. It is simple to apply and is widely used.

Learning Reiki
Reiki can be learned easily and quickly by anyone, regardless of age, gender, background, religion, education or social position. It can be practiced on yourself, on your family, on your friends, and also by practitioners as a complementary approach.
Millions of people around the world use Reiki in their daily life, often feeling that it supports their inner and outer wellbeing.
Reiki literally means “spiritual energy.”
The original Japanese name of the method is Usui Reiki Ryoho (Usui Reiki Ryōhō), which means “Usui’s method of healing through spiritual energy.”
It is also understood as universal energy, heavenly energy or higher energy. Reiki is often described as an energy with certain qualities: wisdom, intuition, restoration, harmony and a nurturing nature.
The wisdom of Reiki is said to work in an autonomous way once the energy is channeled to the receiver, so that it is not dependent on the beliefs of the person giving or receiving it.

The word Reiki is Japanese and is made of two characters (kanji): Rei and Ki.

Usui
Dr. Mikao Usui was a spiritual teacher and the founder of the Reiki method. He was born and lived in Japan from 1865 to 1926.
Within a few years he taught the method to over two thousand people and trained several Reiki masters, who continued to pass it on after his death.
Reiki was brought to the West by Hawayo Takata in 1937, in Hawaii. Mrs. Takata received her Reiki master training from Chujiro Hayashi, a student of the founder Mikao Usui.
Important information about Reiki
Reiki does not replace medicine.
It is a gentle energy practice that does not take the place of proper medical or psychological care. It is often used alongside medical treatment, medication and therapy to support relaxation and a general sense of wellbeing. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose and do not prescribe medication or other substances. Reiki is a simple energy practice that many people use to support a calm body and mind.
Reiki is not a religion
Reiki has no doctrine or religious ritual. You do not have to believe in anything specific to use Reiki; it is often said to work regardless of belief. People all over the world practice Reiki whatever their religion, background or social position. For many it is a gentle practice that brings people together across the world.
